How PRP Works on Hair Follicles

When your blood is spun in a centrifuge at high speed, it separates into distinct layers. The golden middle layer — PRP — contains 3 to 5 times the normal concentration of platelets found in whole blood. These platelets are the body's natural first responders to injury and regeneration.

When injected into the scalp, this platelet-rich plasma activates follicle stem cells in the bulge region, extends the anagen (growth) phase of the hair cycle, and creates new micro-vessels that deliver oxygen and nutrients directly to weakened follicles.
